Mail-Portlet on Chrome issue?

Liferay Community version 6.0.6
Chrome - Current version 11.0.696.71 on XP

Issue:
When I send an email through the mail portlet, a successful response comes back as:
http://SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN.com:8080/web/guest/email/-/mail/send_message?responseData={%22message%22:%22Sent%20successfully.%22,%22status%22:%22success%22}

And the screen actually shows the following and nothing else:
{"message":"Sent successfully.","status":"success"}
At this point, liferay and the email portlet are gone.

Other messages such as "Sending Message...", "Updating Account", "Account Updated", "Updating folder..." etc all work with out issue. This only occurs when sending an email. I have tried this on XP and WIndows Vista (which had a clean install of Chrome).

This issue does NOT occur on FF4 or IE8, just on chrome.

Any ideas?

There seems to be a major problem with 6.0.6 and Chrome. With 6.0.5, it used to be with IE. IE is now working pretty well on 6.0.6. I hope this will get fixed.

This is a major issue, seeing as this doesn't work for Safari either - alienating any Mac users. Safari and Chrome are VERY similar browsers - I believe even built with the same HTML engine underneath.

I have tried to track any errors that are thrown in Chrome. I don't get any. It looks like the JSON response is getting sent back to the wrong place. I am guessing a try/catch block is catching an error somewhere and stuffing it. I am troubleshooting with my team to try and find a solution.

Would it be possible to get an update on this issue? Is there a patch or any help that could be given? We are being held back from our next release due to this issue. If anybody has a good handle on what is causing it, we may be able to help fix.
