End of support of Liferay 6.1

Hi everyone,

We are using Liferay portal 6.1 CE ga3 but we can't find out when is the end of service of version 6.1.

"If you’re using Liferay 6.1 or below, then you might be aware that Liferay ended their 6.1EE support last month."

Is it the premium support or is it the limited support ? Where can we find a roadmap ?

6.1 CE isn't supported by anyone. CE is community edition and does not offer any support, never has.

When is the end support of the Enterprise Edition ?

Does Liferay commit some critical patch from EE to CE ?

If it is available at all, you're probably in the limited support phase for 6.1, but you really have to check with your sales rep for certain.

Absolutely not. Well, not in past versions. In the current version bugs that are fixed in DXP that also exist in LR7CE can get the fix when a new GA is cut.

But never do they go backwards and release a new 6.1 CE GA or 6.2 CE GA. The understanding is that when you choose to use the community edition, you're taking on responsibility for these kinds of things yourself, but if you want regular support options and fixes you'll go with the licensed version of EE or now DXP.
