Calendar Event Invite User Group

Hi everyone,
I have noticed that we cannot invite user groups, teams to calander events. The only way to invite group of users is by inviting organization (which has a site) since events can only invite individual users and sites.

As seen from thread Invite a group of user to a calendar event Nov 2014 thread, Banafshe Bamdad has mentioned :
The documentation is imprecise here. The calendar cannot invite organizations per se to an event; only users and sites can be invited. However, if the organization does have a site, its site can be invited. This is the way we can invite an organization to an event.


Furthermore from Liferay Ticket 45952 : As a calendar manager, I should be able to invite user groups and teams
A user should be able to invite user groups and teams as it is able to invite users, organizations, sites and resources. The semantic of user group invitation should be well defined but will probably involve inviting each member of the group.


Liferay Ticket 45951 : As a calendar manager, I should be able to invite all users from a site to a site event
When a user is creating a site event, there should be an option to invite all users from the site at once, instead of typing each of their names.



1. Does anyone else feel need to allow user groups, teams in calendar invites ?
2. Should organization site be necessary for inviting all organization users ?

Let me know if this has already been discussed.
