Hi everyone,
I am trying to invite user groups in calendar event, but I am unable to do so.
From official Liferay calendar guide:
In the Invitations collapsible section, you can invite users, organizations, or other calendar resources to an event.


From Invite a group of user to a calendar event Nov 2014 thread, Banafshe Bamdad has mentioned :
The documentation is imprecise here. The calendar cannot invite organizations per se to an event; only users and sites can be invited. However, if the organization does have a site, its site can be invited. This is the way we can invite an organization to an event.


Furthermore from Liferay Ticket : As a calendar manager, I should be able to invite user groups and teams
A user should be able to invite user groups and teams as it is able to invite users, organizations, sites and resources. The semantic of user group invitation should be well defined but will probably involve inviting each member of the group.



Question:
1. Can user group be invited to an event ?
2. Who all users, sites, organizations etc. can be invited for any event ?
3. Will notification email be sent (if user configured) to all organization, sites members?
