Hi

Am trying to install liferay in weblogic. Is it possible to change the liferay.home before liferay installation. I want the liferay.home to be separate folder not wrapping the domain folder

Yes, set it as an environment variable for WL.

Hi David

I have given the ENV property as -Dliferay.home=/opt/home/liferay_home. but it didnt worked, after installing the liferay home is referred to the folder one above the folder contains WAR.

any clue where i went wrong ?

That would point to your tomcat folder, definitely not standard (default Liferay is the parent folder, the one that contains the tomcat directory).

This indicates that you are specifying the LIFERAY_HOME somewhere else, possibly in your portal-ext.properties file of perhaps in the setenv.sh script for tomcat or the like.
