Hello experts,
I have uploaded one document in Document and media portlet, but I'm not getting the "Open in MS Office" link for that document. Is there any setting we need to do ?
I am using 64 bit system and 64 bit browser. Liferay version is 6.2 CE.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks in advance..!

Hi Sadanand.
Open In MS Office is only available for IE in 32 bit env, as IE 64 doesn't support it. This is checked since https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-28718.

Hi Sadanand. So it's pretty clear you did NOT read the LPS I've posted. In order to save everyone's time, please read all the info we kindly provide.
If you would have read the LPS, you would have seen this comment: https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-28718?focusedCommentId=295847&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-295847. There it redirects to a Microsoft ActiveX browser Support page (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(v=office.14).aspx#activex). There you can read Office 2010 doesn't have support for ActiveX in 64 bit browser.
So, unless there are support for this in modern IE browsers, I think you won't be able to edit as you say. You may want to check other posibilities, like using WebDav.
