Changing default site of instance LR 6.2

Hi all,

I've come up with a client, where their main site is not the default site, and the default site is empty, with the domain liferay.com set up.

The main site has lots of child sites, but without being the default site of liferay instance, the canonical url for the map site is created with the liferay.com domain instead of the parent site domain.

My question is how do I change the default site to the other, so that the portal instance configuration can be set up to cascade to the child sites ?

I've looked everywhere and only way I found so far is creating a new instance, but the portal is already in production and my client doesn't want that.

Can you help me ?

Try configuring company.default.web.id=liferay.com in your portal-ext.properties, with the correct value of the desired instance, more info see: https://docs.liferay.com/portal/6.2/propertiesdoc/portal.properties.html#Company

Thank you Jorge for the quick reply.

But, it's not the instance I need to change, I have 1 instance with several sites, but the main site used is not the default site that is set in Main Configuration in the Portal Settings. I need to change that site_id for the one we use, and delete the empty site.
