Liferay public site forum and Liferay native forum portlet

There are differences between native-out-of-the-box-liferay-forum-portlet and lifeary-public-website-one (https://www.liferay.com/community/forums).

Perhaps Lifeary customized native forum portlet for their own need and use different templates.

How can we have make native portlet behaves (functionality, look and feel) as the Liferay forum?

Thanks in advance.

You're right, it's a customized version of the OOTB portlet.

To get the same thing you can try hooking the OOTB portlet in a similar manner or perhaps you may need to roll your own implementation if the necessary changes are extensive.

If you're looking for some sort of switch to flip and all of a sudden have the liferay.com forums, well that you're not going to find because it doesn't exist.

I'm sure if you hired Liferay they'd be more than willing to replicate their forum changes in your organization...

We have Liferay enterprise edition, so we are expecting Liferay will share their customized forum code with us.
Let's see what Liferay official supports reply to us.

Okay, but EE is a license to use and runtime support, it's not "give away all of our IP". I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to turn everything over...
