Allow guest users comment on Blogs without sign in

Hi all,

My question is if in Liferay 6.2 Guest users are able to comment on blogs.
From permissions point of view they are allowed, but when I give right permissions and I access as a Guest user the portal opens a pop-up requesting me to sign in to vote. I don't know if I have a wrong configuration somewhere or if a custom development shoudl be done to do it.
Thanks in advance.

Ferran,

You can click on the "Guest" link in the pop up dialogue. It will ask for the mail id and will let you add comment without creating new user.

Hi Ferran,

You can see "Guest" link in the pop-up for commenting even as Guest user. Once you click on "Guest" link then it just ask you to give your name & email address.

Those details will be helpful to show who given comment on blog entry.

Thanks

Except that the only requirement is they give a well-formatted email address, there is no check to ensure the user actually can be reached there.

Guest write access on anything in your portal is a potential source of spam. As spammers start posting their crap on your blog comments, you're going to find yourself spending more time cleaning that crap off of the system.

Although it's allowed, it's really IMHO a bad decision to enable.

Thanks for your answers.
After some research I found my problem. I couldn't see the "Guest" option in the pop-up because in the Portal Settings I had the option "Allow strangers to create accounts?" unchecked.
Respect to manage the comments, there will be a Moderator implemented with Kaleo Workflow.
So my question now is: is it necessary to allow strangers creating accounts to allow Guest users commenting?

OMG, thank you!
I was getting mad trying to know why I didn't see the "Guest link"...Did you find any solution? How to force guest comments without strangers register? I'm  not able to find an alternative... Not a quick one, at least...
