Hi,

My Scenario -

- created one document name "Release Info" in my private repository site name "Document CMS".
- Other user does not have permission on this site.
- Now I created file short cut of document "Release Info" from private repository site "Document CMS" in one other general site ,name"General Document".
- Now I log in with normal user & try to search "Release Info" from Document Library Display search options.
- It is not showing any result for short cut. Though without search I can see this short-cut in Document Display portlet.


Any one know solution for this issue? I already check code, but there is no way to tell Liferay Index search to look for short-cut also.


Any help is appreciated.

No One has ever try this ?! No One know solution?!!.

May be from Liferay staff ? I am stuck with this issue.

May i know whether you selecting any view permission while publishing the document.

HI,

yes ofcource,

View permission is always there. & Also for short cut of document, there are view permission separated per short cut.

- User can see their Short cut in Document display portlet. But when they search, this short cut are not coming in result.

Like,

- root folder
- shortcut with name "xyz"

- a folder
- shortcut with name "xyz-abc"
- b folder
- - shortcut with name "xyz-abc-pqr".


Now, if user explore this folder they can easily see & access those shortcut.

But when User try to search via search option with keyword "xyz" then there is not result coming.

So that is issue. Search result are not including short cut in result list. This search mechanism is doing index search on asset. & there is not such options thorugh which I can say that "please include short cut also". emoticon

the shortcut cannot search.
Have you solved this problem? how to?
