Yeah, sorry folks, looks like a coordinated spam attack, we'll try to clean up this mess asap and tune our spam controls to help in the future.

Since they're registering and writing comments, it seems like they're being posted by people rather than a program.

EDIT: The new ones I see now are by bots. emoticon

Yeah, it looked like someone was fine-tuning their program, trying to identify the best 'format' for their spam...

Probably because the number of users have increased this year. The way you look at it, it means we're getting more attention now.
I usually don't see these much spam at other projects. Must be the spam prevention scheme.

Seems like liferay (the software) would benefit from having a new feature to better block spams.

How about suspending new user accounts until the situation can be resolved?

Right now the forums are useless...

"Recent Posts" seems useless but is you just look at replies or to individual forum, it's not too bad. Well, it seems to be fixed for now.
