Liferay Portal 6.1 CE GA2 (6.1.1) Now Available

Hi all,

I know we've all been waiting on the first update release of 6.1 CE, and it's now here - GA2! While you're downloading it, check out my blog for a list of changes and links for updated docs and download pointers. A big thank you to the whole community - this release incorporates much of the feedback from the community over the last 6 months, including the work done by our community bugsquad and community verifier teams. So we can all be proud of the improvements and technology in Liferay. Cheers!

There is no chat portlet in this new CE!!! I couldn't find it in marketplace too... emoticon

We must have missed adding the Chat App CE version. We'll be adding it into the Liferay Marketplace next week. Apologies, everyone.

I am also a little puzzled about how the upgrade is working -- 6.1.0 was my first version.
Near the bottom there is a link "upgrade" (http://www.liferay.com/documentation/liferay-portal/6.1/user-guide/-/ai/upgrade), is that what you meant?

I did also compare the two installation dirs <liferay-portal-6.1.0-ce-ga1/> and <liferay-portal-6.1.1-ce-ga2/> and I am confused that my tolls (e.g. krusader) does not show any diffs in jar files. I had a look at the two webapps folders:
