"Language" menu at Liferay.com site

I've been using this site so sometimes but haven't taken too much notice, but found that the "Language" menu here is translated
when I change a language. If you think about it, that's kind of strange because an user who wants to change to a different language
is wants to do so because he/she can't understand it - that is an user won't be able to understand how to change to a different language
if "Language" is in a different language.

Hitoshi,

Yea I agree it's strange but it's hard to find a good solution for this. We can always write it in English (I'm assuming it's the most common language here), but it won't help other languages. I don't think there's a universal icon for "languages", although we attempted it with a world icon. Do you have any suggestions?

Looking at other popular sites, it doesn't seem consistent how they do it:
Microsoft and Gmail are similar to us
Apple uses flags, but flags don't necessarily correlate to language
Facebook lists out the languages at the bottom. Not really space on the top bar for us.
