Version 2.2.2 of Aperte Reports - lightweight solution bringing advanced reporting and dashboarding capabilities to Liferay without any external infrastructure needed, has been recently released. Aperte Reports is available under GNU LGPL license and is built on top of Jasper Reports reporting engine and Vaadin RIA framework.

Aperte Reports allows users to:

• Deploy and manage report definitions - from inside Liferay’s Control Panel,
• Deploy and manage report definitions - from inside Liferay’s Control Panel,
• Compose analytical dashboards out of reports and other Liferay portlets. Drill-down capability is also available.
• Input parameters and run on-demand reports,
• Schedule cyclical and background reports (including email delivery of report results)
• Build report definitions using visual editor - iReport.
