I have used the previous iterations of liferay portlets where you can completely customize a portlet configurations.  Including both styling and markup.  As an example I made a table with 3 columns of checkboxes.  It seems like liferay-js only allows the configurations to be picked in a json file.  Is there a way to do this in a template or markup in some way?
