Dominik Marks 8 Years Ago Hello,I agree with you. Liferay should be updated to use the latest FontAwesome version.Does your solution break existing Liferay functionality? Afaik Liferay uses FontAwesome a lot to show specific icons. I assume your solutions loads FontAwesome 4 additionally, so that FontAwesome 3 and FontAwesome 4 are used both, correct? There's no conflict because FA3 uses different class names there's no collisions there. I think the font from FA3 is replaced by the one from FA4 but they carry the same glyphs for the first 361 so that doesn't seem to be an issue either. I did put the FA4 include after where AUI would include the FA3 font, so that may be key. Please sign in to reply. Reply as... Cancel

Robert Smith 6 Years Ago Hi David, Thanks for the information. I tried to perform this in a Liferay 7.0 theme and I cant get it to work. I placed a font-awesome-4.7.0 directory and changed the import to be @import url('font-awesome-4.7.0/fonts/font-awesome.css') which is where the file is, but it never got picked up.
