Docker image

docker run -it -p 8080:8080 liferay/portal:7.4.3.15-ga15

Bundles and other download options

If you are used to binary releases, you can find the Liferay Portal 7.4 GA15 and Liferay Commerce 4.0 GA15 release on the download page.  If you need additional files (for example, the source code, or dependency libraries), visit the release page.

Dependency Management

For development using the Liferay Platform, update Liferay Workspace to use the  latest dependencies, by adding the following line to the build.gradle file:

dependencies {
	compileOnly group: "com.liferay.portal", name: "release.portal.api"
}

All portal dependencies are now defined with a single declaration. When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

By setting a product info key property it will be possible to update all dependencies to a new version by updating the liferay.workspace.product property in the liferay workspace projects gradle.property file:

liferay.workspace.product = portal-7.4-ga15

When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

Features

Forms

Definition of an expiration date for a form

Mainly for the Polls and Survey use cases, now customers can define an expiration date for their forms to be actively receiving submissions.

https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-139897

Objects

Manage object’s modeling permission individually

Now, besides being able to define Object entries permissions by Roles, users with the required permissions can also define the entries permissions individually, giving more flexibility at entry level. With that capability, roles can have manually have permissions for a set of entries in an object without needing to have to all.

Experience Building

Optimizing the Translation process for Content pages experiences

Our current capabilities for optimizing the translation process have been improved to take into account the different experiences that can be defined. Now the side by side translation UI allows users to select the experience to translate.

Also, users will be able to select which experiences to export for translation

Hello,

it seems to the download links are not working in here:

https://www.liferay.com/downloads-community -> bundled with tomcat -> 404 page not found

I'm using this https://github.com/liferay/liferay-portal/releases as an alternative.

Great job, thanks.  I haven't received an account to report bugs.  Bug:  A Web Content Structure with Default Values (i.e., metadata, or display page, etc) don't propogate those defaults when content is created using the structure.  However, the default values are saved and present when looking at the structure's default values page.  This has been the case since early 7.4 ga releases.
