In this first entry I would like, before going on, to send my greetings to the Liferay community and my gratitude for the work they do. Their work allows the product to keep improving in every release and help increase its adoption. For those who do not know me yet, I am responsible for Business Development for Spain and Portugal, and since that's my role, the topics I would like to talk about in this blog will be oriented from the business side and mainly focused on these two markets .

First of all, a brief review of the responses to the FAQs that we have had in Liferay Spain during the last two years, so that you may get to know us better:

- Does Liferay have an office for Spain and Portugal? Yes, Liferay has an office in Madrid from where we take care of partners and customers in Spain&Portugal.
- Is it just a sales and presales office? No, we are not just a sales team, we are also an Engineering Center. In fact, an important part of our current work is to contribute to the next release of Liferay, in addition to training, consulting and support.
- Do you offer your services in Spanish? Yes, and also in English for those that prefer that language, which is common for example for our Portuguese customers.
- Are there companies specialized in adapting Liferay to my needs? Yes, we have indentified the companies that de a better job and incorporated them into our partner network. This network covers Spanish and Portuguese territory and can help you with all the needs you have related to the product.These companies have developed projects with Liferay which support their work and they have technical staff formed in the product officially.
- How can I know which companies are Liferay partners? A complete list per country can be found at http://www.liferay.com/partners/service-partners

En esta primera entrada me gustaría, antes de empezar, enviar un saludo de presentación a la comunidad de Liferay, y mis agradecimientos por el trabajo que realiza y que permite que el producto y su adopción sea más y mejor cada día. A los que no me conocéis, soy la responsable de Desarrollo de Negocio para España y Portugal, y, puesto que ese es mi papel, los temas de los que hablaré estarán orientados desde el punto de vista de negocio y principalmente enfocados en estos dos mercados.

Antes de nada, una breve revisión de las respuestas a las FAQ que tenemos en Liferay España, para que nos conozcáis mejor:

- ¿Tiene Liferay oficina para España y Portugal? Sí, Liferay tiene oficina en Madrid, desde la que atendemos ambos países.

- ¿Es oficina comercial y de preventa? No, tenemos actividad comercial aunque principalmente somos un centro de ingeniería y actualmente una parte nuestro trabajo es contribuir al desarrollo de la próxima release de Liferay, además de la formación, consultoría y soporte.

- ¿El soporte y los servicios son en español? Sí, estos servicios se prestan en Español y también en inglés para los clientes que así nos lo piden, por ejemplo desde Portugal.

- ¿Hay empresas especializadas en adaptar Liferay a mis necesidades? Sí, desde Liferay trabajamos para identificar las empresas que mejor trabajan con Liferay y les incorporamos a nuestra red de partners de servicios. La red de partners cubre todo el territorio español y Portugal y puede ayudarte a resolver las necesidades que tengas sobre el producto. Estas empresas han desarrollado proyectos con Liferay que les avalan y tienen personal formado oficialmente en el producto.

- ¿Cómo identifico qué empresas son partners de Liferay? Puedes buscar la empresa que mejor se adapte a tus necesidades aquí http://www.liferay.com/partners/service-partners
