Too bad you did not offer an iPad, instead of the Kindle. Most of the film people I know are Mac lovers and tend to appreciate good design, this might have motivated them a little. The Kindle is an ugly bit of plastic, albeit functional. A prize is all about emotions, not functionality.
I've used both for reading lengthy books, and I prefer the Kindle for long term reading, for some reason my eyes get really tired after staring at an iPad for a long time! But yeah, iPads are incredibly well designed for everything else.
I agree, but this is about filmmaking not bookreading ;) Anyway, it's no big deal, I hope we get a good response.
Hello James,

I don't know if I've enough time yet, but such a contest is pretty interesting.

Because of that and of the fact that I write my Diploma Thesis about Liferay, I wonder if there are any official resources, like logos, graphics, splash screens, templates and so on, that community members can download and use in presentations, screencasts or such a video contest?

Wits best regards from Germany
Markus
Hey Markus, thanks for your interest! The contest ends Monday night, but we may extend it to make room for a couple of videos in progress. As far as resources, you are free to use any of the resources on our website for use in your video, such as logos, or presentations. Or make your own splash screens or demos by downloading and using the product! Or whip out your smartphone and start recording anything you wish emoticon For example, most of the screencasts made at http://www.liferay.com/web-events can be downloaded and used with a video editor. Some more are at http://www.liferay.com/documentation/liferay-portal/5.1/community-resources . There are others on the web you may be able to use.
I really enjoy shopping online and this is my very first time to see how amazon apps store feature the newest mode!, can't wait to have , at amazon.com gives me a great advantages and definitely an interesting approach. when paying the high subscription fee , and more importantly , losing control of pricing, getting much more exposure for their apps than they might with the Google. I really wonder if it will be possible for the developer to post his/her app both in Google and in amazon Amazon App store opened for business, officially, on Tuesday, March 22.
