RE: Inherit permissions of folders to child objects
Dear Liferay Team
As we stated in the ticket https://help.liferay.com/hc/en-us/requests/98168, we had issues where internal content was exposed through the search index because the permission "Guest -> View" was true by default.
We think it would be great, when the permissions of a folder would automatically apply to newly created child items by default. So that, when a folder has the permission "Guest -> View" set to false all contained WebContent and subfolders automatically apply this too. In our opinion this would minimize the human error drastically.
Best regards
Lukas
Hi,
We also asked for a feature request
in https://help.liferay.com/hc/en-us/requests/133171 that is similar
to the question: role assignments on a top folder should be propagated
to all sub folders and child objects as well.
Best regards
Leon
Hi all,
The feature request has been created: https://liferay.atlassian.net/browse/LPD-54790
Thanks,
Jamie
