RE: Avif image format usage on site

I´m using Liferay 7.4.112. I´m trying to use the avif format on a page. I am able to upload an avif image, have imageMagick convert it to different apaptive media formats. I am able to see it in documents and media.

The thing that is not working is trying to use it on a content page, when chossing an image the avif format pictures are not shown. I am able to manually use the url and the adaptive media is working even for that url.

There is an setting for "Item Slector View" for documents an media under system settings, this has .avif enabled. Everywhere i can find where mime types and file extensions are, the avif format is enabled.

So the question is: How can i enable the avif format to be shown when i want to choose an image in a fragment? Is there a setting for this? Is this somehow hardcoded?

I believe I've needed two different OSGi-Configuration entries (could have been media-type and file-extension, not sure) and a portal.properties entry on top. I'll check if I can find the settings - have done them in a system that's no longer up.

Edit: https://liferay.atlassian.net/issues/LPD-23363 has even more configs, and a property-reference.
