In Liferay we can use the data provider (with any rest api) to
provide data for the drop down of any liferay form.
This drop down
is able to provide data but its not automatically localize the
data.
Example:
We can use any rest api (or liferay api) to
show country list in drop down and this dropdown data should be
localized based on user/page locale.
