I want to enable searching for custom entity. but when I don't set groupId filed in service.xml, my result is empty. is groupId field necessary for indexing? I check http://localhost:9201/liferay-20098/_search my entities are indexed, but i don't know why Hits is empty

I know the post is quite old but I'm facing similar kind of issue
like I haven't set groupId in my entity but my entity is indexable but
search results hit is empty.
Ritu, instead of commenting on this post you should start your
own--the OP was asking whether it's necessary to include the groupId
(it seems like it is necessary--a search results widget disdplay
results for a given site). But how can we know if youi're
experienceing the same thing without the details of ytour situation
being explained?
