Hello,
we are currently trying to migrate a system from Websphere to Liferay. We are struggling with importing and exporting our portlet rights due to different user roles on our prelive and production environment. Is there any way or tool that we can use?

Ugh. That sucks. My first reaction is that there is no "out of the box tool" but you could probably do something by leveraging the API. Question though, why do you have different roles between the environments? That in itself doesn't seem like a good idea because it would definitely lower any confidence (at least for me) in terms of the validity of test results in lower level environments -- at least for anything permission related.

I am guessing that the difference stems from an effort to "clean up" roles from one system to the next? Is it possible for you to just use the same roles between the systems to get the import working and then once everything is moved over then go through and do the cleanup?
