Regarding the liferay dxp sources, do you know where they are available?

They don't seem there in the customer portal..

For each Service Pack release, there should be a "Source" option under the "For Developers" section of the dropdown.

For each DE release (better known as fix packs), there will be a version of the fix pack that includes "Source Code", with a folder structure that should help you understand what the changed files are.

When you download the fix pack source, you use the Liferay patching tool to apply it to the source code for any service pack that preceded it.
