I've run into an issue with an update from 6.2 to 7.2 where the creation and edit of web content is inaccessible to the users except for the portal administrators. This issue has not only affected web content but also wiki content, message board entries, and other areas that leverage the web content ui for content creation. I'm looking for potential areas to troubleshoot in order to resolve this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Were you able to resolve this issue? I am experiencing the same problem after upgrading from Liferay Portal 6.2.

We haven't been able to resolve the issue and are looking into transferring content to a new Liferay 7.2 server if we aren't able to resolve it. I'll keep you updated.

There are some tasks you need to execute after the upgrade, one of them is related to the Web Content permissions:

Have you executed those post upgrade tasks?
