New way to change pop/smtp settings

In the never ending effort to make Liferay easier to configure, mail settings can now be set in the control panel (5.2.3+). To do so, go to the control panel and click server administration, then click the Mail tab. Enter your data and go from there!

These seams general settings. so can you explain the pourpose of POP configuration? The SMTP is used for all outgoing email (wiki, forum subcription an so on? Thanks D.

These are the default settings for message boards and blogs to receive posts by email

Where are this settings stored? They a priority to settings put in portal-ext.properties, as I understood.

They do take precedence, they are stored in the database (portletpreferences table)

I have problem my company domain send get emails from portal on creation of new email account on portal from non secure port 25 but all gmails and yahoo emails accounts dont get the emails?
