Ask Questions and Find Answers

When a User with the "Add Role" permission (but without the Global "View" permission) tries to add a new Role, they get an error page and the following is found in the logs:
PrincipalException$MustHavePermission: User {userId} must have VIEW permission for com.liferay.portal.kernel.model.Role {roleId}

​​​​​​​We want Users to be able to add Roles, but without seeing all the Roles of the Instance.
