It looks like the code itself <a href="https://github.com/liferay/com-liferay-portal-store/blob/master/portal-store-cmis/src/main/java/com/liferay/portal/store/cmis/CMISStore.java">is still there</a> (although I didn't run it) - might be just a bug, or a change in how Alfresco interprets the API... not sure. Given that it's deprecated, declared unsupported and that it's not even documented any more in <a href="https://docs.liferay.com/portal/7.0-latest/propertiesdoc/portal.properties.html">portal.properties</a>, the chances of getting it fixed are probably not too large, however you might be able to find the underlying issue yourself by looking at the code, potentially deploying your own version of it.
