I have follow a lot of tutorials but it doesn't work.

My problem should came from my password variable in liferay because I switch it to 'pwdLastSet' because 'UserPassword' or 'Password' aren't recognize during ldap request. (I'm on W2012)

Do you have a good link that I can follow, to link my LDAP with my liferay ?Bastien Lajeanne2017-07-28T13:46:32ZRE: Liferay 7.0 Authentication LDAP rightDavid H Nebingerhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=923821112017-07-28T13:16:38Z2017-07-28T13:16:38Z
Bastien Lajeanne:

After few tests it's appears like a right problem for basic users, if I don't give the administrator status to them they can't log in. On a successful bind, you're authenticated, but on a bind failure you get the auth failed message.

The admin status thing is not your problem. Admins are allowed to log in even after LDAP auth failure so they can get in and solve problems with the LDAP configuration. This is definitely not the answer to your problem, it just highlights the failure you have going on with the LDAP bind.

Come meet me at Devcon 2017 or 2017 LSNA!David H Nebinger2017-07-28T13:16:38ZLiferay 7.0 Authentication LDAP rightBastien Lajeannehttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=923806792017-07-28T13:05:05Z2017-07-28T13:05:05ZGoodmorning everyone,

I have a problem with the authentication in liferay, my link with my ldap is available, my users are well imported but I can't log in with them (I can connect with my administrator account).

After few tests it's appears like a right problem for basic users, if I don't give the administrator status to them they can't log in.
Liferay reply those error messages when I try to connect : “Your request failed to complete” “Authentication failed. Also isn't bad password because I know it and when I switch the account as administrator, I'm able to connect.

Also in my app if I'm logged in as my user with administrator status and I kick this status I'm still available to use the portal without the administrator menu like a basic a user, but if I try to reconnect I'm blocked.

The problem is from user right that didn't allows basic user to log in and restrict the access to administrators.

I'm using : liferay-ce-portal-tomcat-7.0-ga4-20170613175008905 with to
