I have the similar problem over there. I tried to edit the web content of one of our pages via control panel, but obviously I can find nowhere to edit the content. Can anyone help?Don Tang2016-11-09T21:59:44ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?bergkamp sliewhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=137076332012-04-30T04:22:23Z2012-04-30T04:22:23ZTry to update the virtual hostname and mail server.
It worked for me, at least.

Just to add, the problem doesn't exist if everything is running locally.
And I had that problem (CKEditor was empty) after installing/hosting Liferay in a dedicated server.bergkamp sliew2012-04-30T04:22:23ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?Jaafar Altaiehttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=137066942012-04-29T23:06:44Z2012-04-29T23:06:44ZSeems like the same problem STILL exists in the latest version (liferay-portal-6.1.0-ce-ga1) which I'm running on Win 2008 Server R2. I'm just looking around the forum to see if there's any fixes but it just looks like editing web content is a limitation of Liferay. I might have to look at other portals if something as basic as editing web content proves so difficultt. I really like Liferay so would welcome any advice or suggestions of how to simply edit web content. At first it seemed to be working but now every time when I try to create or edit web content it fails to load it. And it seems that the toolbar is a bit different than it should be. Also the background should be transparent but for some reason it is rendered white. I haven't change any editor settings. Seems to be very random problem because some of the 6.0.5 installation are working correctly, some with IE8.Harri Paalanen2010-09-20T09:45:56ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?Benny Bräuerhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=56927792010-08-30T07:45:23Z2010-08-30T07:45:23ZHi Sam,

yes, it is still there.

Cheers
BennyBenny Bräuer2010-08-30T07:45:23ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?Samuel Liuhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=56888422010-08-29T03:01:37Z2010-08-29T03:01:37ZHi Benny,

So just wanted to confirm before we do some testing: the issue is still present in Snow Leopard Firefox for 6.0.5?

Haha sorry for the long response here too

SamSamuel Liu2010-08-29T03:01:37ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?Benny Bräuerhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=56463722010-08-24T07:56:41Z2010-08-24T07:56:41ZSorry for my late response: "long weekend" ;)

Hm, I was running the default 6.0.4 with TC 6 and now 6.0.5 (clean install).

But now I just tried it in Chrome ... successfully ... so I think its an issue from Firefox (latest stable) on Snow Leopard.

Cheers,
BennyBenny Bräuer2010-08-24T07:56:41ZRE: Web Content: How to edit?Samuel Liuhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=56224862010-08-21T00:06:51Z2010-08-21T00:06:51ZHi Benny,

Weird! it works for me...what bundle are you running? The problem is, it is not editable from there ... because the content is not shown in the editor field. Your article should be editable from there (you either have to click it or hit actions->edit or something)

Documentation is on the way, portal admin guide is being written right now. The wiki is getting overturned too!
