Another factor is the display date.

Let's say, there are 3 published version of the article.
v1 - Display date next week
v2 - Display date in an hour
v3 - Display date tomorrow

Currently you will see no article, but in an hour you will see v2. Only tomorrow you will see v3. But you will never see v1, since the display date is in the past.

This behavior is a feature (you can plan new article versions) and a pain at the same time. e.g. If you don't want article v2 to appear in an hour, e.g. you mistakenly set it to that date, you have to go into the article history and expire that article. If you forget/overlook that, which is pretty easy to do, the (maybe secret) article goes online.Christoph Rabel2019-02-02T21:02:55ZRE: Multiple versions of a web contents can be in published status?Olaf Kockhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=1122016082019-02-01T16:09:42Z2019-02-01T16:09:42Z
Elisa Vagelli
I'm new and I'm testing liferay functionalities: I have seen that creating multiple versions of a web content and publishing them, all versions remain published unless they are explicitly expired.
