I upload my themes onto the server with Control Panel->App
Manager->Upload. This works normally fine.

In development I have configured portal-ext.properties to deactivate
all caching mechanisms. So theme changes will show after reload.

Last time I had to change the uploaded theme in production. I
couldn´t get the caching mechanisms to show the new file (Tryed all
Server Administration->Cache Actions, but nothing worked, different
browser worked neither, 1st possible bug?). So I tried to delete the
app with the app manager. It showed it was gone. Then I tried to
upload the theme again.

I got the message that the theme will be installed. But the theme
were not installed.

I retried this on the development system und could replicate the
behavavior. The last log ouput was:

2018-09-14 17:02:30.749 INFO [com.liferay.portal.kernel.deploy.auto.AutoDeployScanner][AutoDeployDir:261] Processing convergys-theme.war

Then it logged nothing more (2nd possible bug).

The only solution after that was to restart the Liferay Tomcat.

Now I had to configure the production server with the no caching
developer configuration to work with themes.

Any solutions to that?

Best regards
