Finally, I deleted my liferay installation and took a backup, I follow the same steps again and know it is working. Maybe one file had some misconfiguration.

The only thing is wrong now is that theme isn't loading some images, but I think that is an apache's configuration thing.

Thanks for your help!Jose Gomez2018-03-06T09:49:00ZRE: Cannot start Tomcat in Eclipse after change app context pathJoye Luohttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=1048753292018-03-06T02:41:14Z2018-03-06T02:41:14ZHey Jose,

This link may help you solve this problem.
https://web.liferay.com/zh/community/forums/-/message_boards/message/79010552

Hope that can work for u.Joye Luo2018-03-06T02:41:14ZCannot start Tomcat in Eclipse after change app context pathJose Gomezhttps://liferay.dev/en/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=1048331412018-03-05T11:17:01Z2018-03-05T11:17:01ZHi everyone!

I'm trying to change the application context path of my current local Liferay installation and because of our needs, I must set double context ( /context/path ). I've already done the following:

1. renamed '/webapps/ROOT' to '/webapps/context/path'
2. in 'tomcat-7.0.62/conf/server.xml' I added the following line:
...
<Host appBase="webapps" autoDeploy="true" name="localhost" unpackWARs="true">
<Context docBase="/context/path" path="/context/path"/>
...
3. in 'tomcat-7.0.62/conf/Catalina/localhost/ROOT.xml' I added:
<Context path="/context/path" crossContext="true">

4. in portal-ext.properties I added the key:
portal.ctx=/context/path

But when I try to run tomcat in eclipse, or try to create a new runtime environment a nullpointerexception is shown in log. I think that eclipse cannot find liferay installa
