Bundles and other download options

If you are used to binary releases, you can find the Liferay Portal 7.4 GA13 and Liferay Commerce 4.0 GA13 release on the download page.  If you need additional files (for example, the source code, or dependency libraries), visit the release page.

Dependency Management

For development using the Liferay Platform, update Liferay Workspace to use the  latest dependencies, by adding the following line to the build.gradle file:

dependencies {
	compileOnly group: "com.liferay.portal", name: "release.portal.api"

All portal dependencies are now defined with a single declaration. When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

By setting a product info key property it will be possible to update all dependencies to a new version by updating the liferay.workspace.product property in the liferay workspace projects file:

liferay.workspace.product = portal-7.4-ga13

When using an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ all apis are immediately available in autocomplete for immediate use.

Experience Building

Test your Designs when modifying your Stylebook token values

The goal of this Epic is to let userspreview atoms, molecules and templates of a complete Design System before using them on pages so that Styles can be better adjusted and impacts of changes visually verified before using the new Style Book on actual pages.

Create Navigation Menus Based on big and complex Categories/Vocabularies hierarchies

The goal of this Epic is to improve the site navigation menus involving the display page menu item types and focusing on the categories menu item type.
We made possible to:

  1. To Multi-select categories.

  2. To select a Vocabulary and all its categories.

  3. To automatically add new categories created inside a vocabulary to a Menu where that Vocabulary is placed.

  4. Let users decide if they want that Vocabularies are shown in their menus.

  5. Improve the organization of this feature.

Style Book created by default

The goal of this story is to improve the understanding of what Style Books are and explain that they can be linked to page editor styles and show its correspondence.

Make 404 tracking optional

As 404 tracking can be very performance demanding in some scenarios, nos system admins can enable/disable the tracking of 404 URLs from System configuration.
