    <summary type="html">If this was the intention I think you can overcome it by deleting the first page. Then the next one becomes the first page and if it is a URL type you would have your first page be the url.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And you can modify it using Communities portlet (that&amp;#39;s what I did when I had hard time modifying the page &lt;img alt="emoticon" src="@theme_images_path@/emoticons/happy.gif" &gt; )</summary>

So, a consistent page linking between different communities does not work properly.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;gt; &lt;br /&gt;&amp;gt; Any ideas?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we allowed the first layout of a community to be a link.. then you&lt;br /&gt;would have an extremely difficult time getting to that community... for&lt;br /&gt;example... right now /web/guest sends you to /wed/guest/1 as expected&lt;br /&gt;because it&amp;#39;s the first page... but if that page is a redirect then...&lt;br /&gt;where are you going???? not to where you think you are going... there&lt;br /&gt;are certain operations as well in page management that can never be sure&lt;br /&gt;where to send you after making a change... but since the first page is a&lt;br /&gt;fixed target, you can safely be sent there... there are also many other&lt;br /&gt;issues to consider when making the first layout anything but a portlet&lt;br /&gt;layout. It would be very risky to alter this behaviour... without doing&lt;br /&gt;lots of testing and finding some safe alternative.</summary>

    <summary type="html">Hey all,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There seems to be a restriction in Liferay (4.3.4) that the first page entry in the navigation should be &amp;#34;Page Type: Portlet&amp;#34;, not an URL for example.
