A very common (and IMHO recommended) setup is to use a reverse proxy in front of the application server running Liferay. If you do that, you can configure your webserver to use http/2 protocol and you are basically done.

If you don't use a reverse proxy (you should rethink that setup), it depends.

You need to check for your application server, e.g. Liferay 7.0 uses Tomcat 8.0 by default and it doesn't support http/2. You need at least Tomcat 8.5. You could upgrade to 8.5 manually, it's doable but a tad of work. If you have 7.1, you are already golden, because it uses Tomcat 9.0.

In any case, I would recommend to just add a reverse proxy that supports http/2.

Note: There are some features that would need to be implemented in the application, but these are not the important ones.Christoph Rabel2019-05-10T17:48:52ZDoes Liferay DXP uses HTTP/2 ?manish jaiswalhttps://liferay.dev/c/message_boards/find_message?p_l_id=119785333&messageId=1135935552019-05-10T11:27:10Z2019-05-10T11:27:10ZHi,

I would like to know if Liferay supports HTTP/2 protocol which is the newest version of HTTP, and also does it uses features like request and response multiplexing into it.

Thanks
Manish
