    <summary type="html">I am using DXP Trial version (we dont have subscription to it yet).&lt;br /&gt;All my settings seem to be correct.  There is something curious in Fixpack 12 &lt;br /&gt;&amp;#34;Resolution: Use the driver automatically loaded by Liferay through jdbc.default.driverClassName=com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver, instead of the &amp;#34;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I dont see a &amp;#39;automatically loaded&amp;#39; driver in DXP for sql server - i installed one from msdn.</summary>

    <summary type="html">I dont see anything wrong with firewall, also since I can connect to the same SQL Server with Liferay 6.2 it should not be that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am using a regular SQL auth user set up on the db used by 6.2 and now on this new DB (to which i can connect outside of liferay ok).</summary>

    <summary type="html">Hello,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am trying out Liferay DXP and having trouble connecting to my local SQL Server 2008  (SQLEXpress).  I tried using both jtds and sqljdbc driver and the  final error in both cases is &amp;#39;Dialect Not found&amp;#39;.&lt;br /&gt;The local SQL Server does have TCP/IP enabled and port 1433 open, and i have no problems connecting to it using Liferay 6.2.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I tried all possible variations of jdbc url, ie.:   jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1433;databaseName=Liferay7;instance=SQLEXPRESS;&lt;br /&gt;and all give the same error.&lt;br /&gt;Here is the stack trace:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;00:42:18,297 ERROR [http-nio-8080-exec-8][DialectDetector:137] com.microsoft.sql&lt;br /&gt;server.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host localhost, por&lt;br /&gt;t 1433 has failed. Error: &amp;#34;Connection refused: no further information. Verify th&lt;br /&gt;e connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on&lt;br /&gt;the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connec&lt;br /&gt;tions to the port are not blocked by a firewall.&amp;#34;.&lt;br /&gt;com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the ho&lt;br /&gt;st localhost, port 1433 has failed.
