The Service Builder creates a context.xml file in webapps/your_app/META-INF. Try including the classloader so it sees the required files. For Tomcat your context.xml file should look like this:

which LR version are you using? also, did u use service builder to create your servcie, if thats the case you'd not be required to modify or even look into the hibernate or spring xml file. Using service builder is the recommended way. You can find service builder info for LR 5.2 here - http://www.liferay.com/community/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Service+Builder

Please, does anyone have this or similar problem to deploy a portlet to access a service created with Service Builder?. I quote here the initial trace of the error and the various Spring Hibernate configuration files. I would appreciate any suggestions on this problem
