Hi, and thanks for the answers.

I represent a consultancy company in Norway with ~20 employees, and we have been working with Liferay for a while with a customer. We find the Liferay platform a good base for developing a modern intranet for our customers. As it is mainly me that is working actively with Liferay, we are considering finding some kind of partner that would be able to help us out if we need some backup in our future projects.

One alternative is a Liferay partner, preferably in Scandinavia. Another alternative is getting a good relation directly with the Liferay people, and while building our Liferay competency, considering becoming a partner ourself.

With this thread I wanted to get input on any experience anyone had with the partners to help finding those that are actively using their partner status from those that just are partners if you get me.

Thanks.

What kind of consulting you are looking for? If you are looking for product support, training or architecture advice I would contact directly Liferay sales. If you are looking for some to implement your project then I would primarily turn to our partners. Usually RFP sent to several prospects might be a good approach for project work. When selecting a partner you might want to consider their location as we have partners through out Europe and well Globe.
