<p>The version numbers in those file names indicate that you're trying to install a 6.2 plugin to 6.1, and that won't work. You'll either need to find a 6.1 version of that plugin (AFAIK the legacy marketplace and legacy versions can be installed or downloaded from the in-product-marketplace, but not directly from the website) or upgrade.</p> <p>Note that upgrades imply more than just upgrading the platform: As you discovered, your own portlets must be evaluated and upgraded as well. However, you shouldn't stop at 6.2: We're now at 7.4 for a lot more than 2 years, and 6.2, just as 6.1, ran out of enterprise support a long time ago.</p>

<p>We tried to upgrade to version 6.2, but the old portlets didn't work.</p> <p>I put the file Liferay Audit-6210.lpkg in the folder liferay-portal-6.1.0\deploy, the file unpacked into 3 files audit-hook-6.2.10.1.war, audit-portlet-6.2.10.3.war, liferay-marketplace.properties. But the war files are not installed and remain in the folder liferay-portal-6.1.0\deploy</p>
