<p>Did you change it to longer or shorter?</p> <p>Background: You can also configure the session duration within Liferay (through portal.properties) and some JS code might cut off your session at the time configured there.</p> <p>I'm not aware that any of this changed in the past decade though.</p>

<p>In 7.2 and earlier, we changed the session timeout in two web.xml files (tomcat/conf and webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF) worked. In 7.4 this no longer seems to work, is there now another configuration somewhere that handles this?</p>
