<p>Go with either Java 8 or 11 - newer versions aren't yet supported. Check https://liferay.dev/blogs/-/blogs/liferay-portal-7-4-ga4-and-liferay-commerce-4-0-ga4-release</p> <p>AFAIK no full JDK is required any more - don't configure JAVA_HOME and it should work</p>
