How to import Liferay module project into Liferay workspace (7.2)

For our 7.2 development we are building module projects using the Liferay Workspace Eclipse plugin. Currently, because you can only have one LR workspace in an Eclipse workspace, we have each of our projects in its own Liferay Workspace which have in git. This is a bit cumbersome because in order to work on say, two different projects, the developer has to either quit Eclipse and re-open with the different Eclipse/Liferay workspace(s), or stay in Eclipse and delete the current Liferay workspace and import the new one.

One solution to this would be to simply import Liferay module projects into the Liferay workspace as needed, but I have not been able to get this to work. When I try to import a module project from one workspace to another, I get the error shown in the attached screenshot. I assume this should be possible since it is right there in menu but I have never been able to get it to work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
