You can do this by setting a style with the background image on body (or maybe wrapper). Usually you would do this in a theme. You could also use a theme contributor, if the theme changes you need are only minor.

Dear all,<br /><br />I&#39;d like to change the background of my portal. In particular I&#39;d like to add a wide screen image as background and use the white background for my portlets.<br />For the second task I&#39;d work on css of each portlet, anyway I don&#39;t know how to change the page background with the picture.<br />I&#39;m asking this since I&#39;ve seen on portal setting that I can only use the Blank Page and I don&#39;t know how to change it.<br />Can you please help me?<br />Thank you in advance.<br />Best regards,<br /><br />Alex
