There has to be some previous exception before that one. Could you check the logfile (note: On Windows, sometimes essential logentries are written into files in the tomcat/logs folder)<br />One thing you might check are the database permissions. If Liferay doesn&#39;t have sufficient permissions in the DB, this error also can occur.
