Brilliant! This would be very helpful. There are some other annoyances with the UX of adding documents to content in the file selector. Pretty consistent in 7.0 and I've seen it a few times in 7.2 ... if there's just one file in a folder, the add button grays out when hovering and can't click. If the preview window displays "1 of 1" it's likely the add button doesn't work at all; So two files must be present to action the add button. If you upload an image say via drag and drop or selecting it directly in the file selector again you get the "1 of 1" issue, so you'd have to upload more than you need to get the button to work. The information icon can also stop the add button working.

When there is "1 of 2" you have to advance forward one in the preview and go backwards one to get the add button to work.

New features are great but there's so many UX issues lingering in what we already have it makes for a frustrating user experience. We have outreach meetings with our site admins to help manage perception of the product and say that "we are aware of the issues and do pass them on" to help people stick with it. Trouble is though I can only do that so many times and we go years with these bugs in place.

When trying to upload a document to a file selector and realizing a new folder would be more appropriate, you have to back out of your workflow to then go to documents and media to then create a new folder.

It would make things much easier to be able to create a new folder right there in the file selector.
