This apparently was an issue with the filtering on our SMTP server. Our SMTP server's whitelist of acceptable email addresses wasn't prepared for the person's display name to be included with their email address.

I'm trying to figure out why I'm not getting email notifications for blog updates. I have User A who:
1) I can see in the database is subscribed to BlogEntry for the right group.
2) In his My Account -> Account Settings -> Miscellaneous tab has General, News, and Test checked for Email.
3) In his My Account -> Notifications -> Configuration has "Updates a blog entry you are subscribed to." toggled to yes for Email.

I then have User B
1) Go to the Group's Content -> Blogs page.
2) Choose Edit for an existing Blog Entry.
3) Change the Blog Entry's body, toggle "Send Email Entry Updated" to Yes, add some text for it, and press the Publish button.
User A gets a notification on the web site, but doesn't get an email. I believe the mail server is configured correctly on the Liferay server, because I have a separate Listener that uses the MailService Component to send email, and that works.
Any hints or pertinent links would be appreciated.
