You can configure where Liferay stores the data. If you configure AdvancedFileSystemStore, that store's implementation will store the data in the format that it uses. The format is an implementation detail of AdvancedFileSystemStore. Other than the root directory, there's nothing to configure.<br />If you'd like to change the directory structure beneath the root folder, create your own store implementation.<br />Beware: If you do that in order to be able to open the documents from other applications: Don't! You'd risk to change documents outside of Liferay, thus you'll end up with all kinds of unexpected behavior.
