I'm pretty much interested in the answer as well. I have seen a presentation that discusses how Liferay can be used as a Digital Asset Manager, utilizing the CMIS integration capability. I recently pitched this as a solution for a customer. So whether it is Sharepoint or FileNet, is the CMIS integration still possible?

Hi all,

For client needs I'm assessing feasibility of using FileNet as
external documents repository with Liferay DXP.

From the official documentation I became aware that it's possible
leveraging the CMIS store configuration, but it looks like "CMIS
Store is not suitable for production use and is deprecated as of
Liferay Portal CE 7.0 and Liferay DXP. Because it can have performance
issues with large repositories" (cfr. https://dev.liferay.com/discover/portal/-/knowledge_base/7-0/liferay-repository-types).

So I needs some clarification about that feature.

- Is there a clearer definition on "large repositories"?
 How many documents are supported?

- Someone alreay has a direct experience in using CMIS store? Do you
have some objective relevations (KPIs, performance testing outcomes etc.)?

If that integration is not possible leveraging that out of the box
Liferay feature, do you have an alternative solution or suggestions?

Thanks
